Spousal/Common-Law Partner Sponsorship:

Are you a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in a spousal or common-law relationship with someone residing abroad? The Spousal/Common-Law Partner Sponsorship program allows you to sponsor your partner for permanent residency in Canada.

Eligibility:

• You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, 18 years of age or older.
• Your relationship must be genuine and ongoing.
• You must meet the minimum necessary income (MNI) requirements to financially support your spouse/partner for a period of three years after they arrive in Canada.

Process:

1. Gather Documentation: This includes proof of relationship, financial documents, and medical examinations.
2. Application Submission: Breakaway Immigration will assist you in preparing and submitting the sponsorship application package to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
3. Processing: Processing times can vary, but we will keep you informed of the status throughout.

Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship:

Canadian citizens and permanent residents over the age of 18 can sponsor their parents and grandparents to immigrate to Canada and live here permanently. There are two main pathways under this program:

• Sponsorship Application: This is the traditional application process, but due to high demand, applications currently go through a lottery system.
• Parent and Grandparent Super Visa: This visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit for extended stays (up to two years at a time) with the possibility of multiple entries.

Visitor Records for Dependents:

Spousal Open Work Permit:

A spousal open work permit allows your spouse or common-law partner to work for any employer in Canada while their permanent residency application is being processed. This provides them with the flexibility to pursue career opportunities and contribute to the household income.
